God Made You to Excel in a Time of Turmoil

Reading Time: 2 minutes
a portrait of turmoil

As the world upheaves in chaos, I would like to offer this reminder:

God did not choose to start His church (which is us, as His people) when conditions were peaceful and idyllic. Instead, He started it in a time when there was “a great persecution.” (Acts 8)

And yet, in spite of the oppression, in spite of “being put to death,” in spite of being considered “as sheep to be slaughtered,” (Romans 8), the church—and again, by “the church,” I must emphasize that God considers this not an institution, but rather all Christians combined, everywhere—grew rapidly.

Why?

Because Christians made daily ministrations to those in need (Acts 6). Because, in spite of the bloodshed, of the heartbreak, and of the fleeting nature of life, which could be terminated any day, Christians said:

“So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people.” (Gal 6:10)

Do not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. God made you to excel in a time of turmoil. Now is the time to shine.

I am here to serve you. Let me know if I can help.
