All Men Dream, But Not Equally

All Men Dream, But Not Equally

Reading Time: < 1 minute

All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible. — T.E. Lawrence, Seven Pillars of Wisdom

Do you dream of finally having a good relationship? Or overcoming all your past failures? Of making something of yourself? Getting in shape? I thought about the following verse, and how it applies to so much that we put off doing:

Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again, tomorrow I will give it”—when you have it with you.

—Proverbs 3:28

Now is the time to act. Now is the time to make the most of the days, which are evil. Not next week. Not “when you get time.” Now. The best preparation for tomorrow is getting started today.
