The Safest Road

The Safest Road

Reading Time: < 1 minute

“Indeed the safest road to Hell is the gradual one—the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts…”

—C.S. Lewis

Ultimately, Hell is just a state where we severe ourselves from our Creator. As a Christian, I think it’s why we need one another. Through Paul, God warned of how dangerous it is to give up hanging out with our Christian family. He warned us not to neglect to meet together—as is the habit of some—but to hang out, to get each other involved in helping those around us; to encourage and know one another.

In all these things, he encouraged us to increase each other’s faith. Of all the things we undervalue, our brothers and sisters might be the most. Leaving them is easy—it’s a gentle slope, soft underfoot.

With love, always,
