Jordan Peterson left many confused after a recent YouTube debate entitled, “1 Christian vs 20 Atheists,” mostly because he asked where the 1 Christian was for the debate. He then clarified, “Oh, so you think it’s me who’s the Christian, bucko? Well let me tell you something, eh, you don’t know me. I don’t know me. No one knows me. “
He then added, “You are vast. An ant is vast. There are different sizes of infinity. It takes great arrogance for you to question me about God! You are the same kind of different as me, so where do you get off?”
He threatened an American participant with tarring and feathering, and a Canadian debater with maple syruping and leafing. A more congenial female debater finally asked,
“Mr. Peterson. Is it true that you think God is real?”
“IS real?” he exclaimed. “That depends on what the meaning of “is,” is. It’s not that simple. Are you claiming that I had relations with this “God?”
“Is God real,” he went on scoffing at the question. “It’s like asking about sea level rise. The sea level can’t rise. It’s always at 0. It’s a meaningless question.”
With the debate over, Mr. Peterson said on his Daily Wire show, “Of course I believe God is real, but I don’t know what real is.”
