Experts Agree: Trump’s Shout of “Fight, Fight, Fight” a Grave Threat to Our Democracy
Following a startling, increased-decibel event at a Trump rally, experts note a grave threat to our democracy remains ever present.
“It’s easy to lose sight of the fact that Donald Trump may surge in the polls following today’s otherwise-benign incident,” said CNN’s political commentator John Bennet. “Too often in these situations we forget that the real victims are not those who perished, but those who will have even more stolen from them: democracy.”
Experts were in unanimous agreement that Mr. Trump’s fist-pumping motion following the the mishap with a low-flying lead projectile was reminiscent of the Third Reich, and his cry of “Fight, fight, fight!” sounded carried the overtones of “Kampf, kampf, kampf!”
“One might as well replace our sacred democracy with a numerous large ovens, if we’re going to let him get away with such words,” said MSBNC’s Rachel Maddow. “Following this bloody but mostly peaceful demonstration, we can all agree that Adolf Trump must be stopped at any cost.”
