Trump Says in Lieu of Taxes, He Got Mike Bloomberg to Inject $1B into US Economy

Reading Time: < 1 minute

President Trump has come under fire recently for only paying $750 in income taxes, discounting things like the $35,000,000 he paid in 2005 alone. As people have rightfully pointed out, all Americans gleefully pay the legal maximum in taxes, and most even donate to the US government above and beyond by mailing checks to:

Gifts to the United States
U.S. Department of the Treasury
Reporting and Analysis Branch 2
P.O. Box 1328
Parkersburg, WV 26106-1328

While pundits and citizens who pundits talk about have been outraged with Trump, some Libertarian voters have commented, “I’m not even angry. That’s amazing,” bucking the trend toward seething hatred.

For his part, Donald Trump has been boasting that he’s given the United States more than anyone ever has: golden skyscrapers, TV shows, the world’s hottest daughter, several million spent at McDonald’s, and in fact a $1-billion cash infusion straight into the US economy by getting “floppy-eared Mike Bloomberg to foolishly run for President.”

“So foolish, so very foolish,” Trump told reporters. “I mean have you seen Mike? I’ve known him, and I’ve never liked him. I think he is a highly overrated guy, both in talent and in many other ways. Maybe he should have read my book, “The Art of the Deal,” I don’t know.”

Trump claimed that Bloomberg was “easier to bait than a starving rabbit, but twice as stupid.”
